Thank you for your interest in GPP (hereinafter also referred to as "we" or "us"), and welcome and thank you for using our OPENFLAT software ("OPENFLAT") and our other services provided by us (collectively, the "Services").

The OPENFLAT Privacy Policy (this "Privacy Policy") applies to the online interactive services we provide. When you use our online interactive services, you agree to accept this Privacy Policy, and for users under the age of eighteen, both this Privacy Policy and the OPENFLAT Rules for the Protection of Personal Information of Minors and Notice to Guardians apply.

We understand the importance of personal information to you and will do our best to protect the security and reliability of your personal information. We are committed to maintaining the trust you place in us by adhering to the following principles.

I. What personal information we collect about you

We collect your personal information primarily to make it easier and more satisfying for you and other users to use the Service. And this personal information helps us to achieve this goal.

For the purposes of this policy, "personal information" means information recorded electronically or otherwise that, alone or in combination with other information, can identify a specific natural person or reflect the activities of a natural person.

In order to provide our services to you, we may voluntarily collect personal information from you that is necessary to provide the services. You have the right to refuse to provide such personal information, and if you do so, we may not be able to provide you with certain services or you may not be able to enjoy certain features, but this will not prevent you from using services or features that do not require personal information.

We collect personal information necessary for the express, lawful purposes that have been disclosed to you and we ensure that we do not process such information in a manner inconsistent with those purposes. We obtain personal information relating to you from the following sources.

1.1 Information we collect directly from you

When you use our OPENFLAT software, you understand and agree that the Service may require you to enable certain access rights in your device in order to enable the collection and use of the personal information to which those rights relate.

  1. When you log in using a third-party platform account (GitHub, WeChat, Google), we will obtain the relevant information (including: username, nickname, avatar, etc.) and authentication information under that third-party account based on your authorization. We promise to use this information to provide you with login services and to protect your account from security risks.
  2. When you use the Join a Room or Invite to Join a Room function, we will read your clipboard information according to your authorization
  3. When you use the room reservation function, we will get the calendar data written and read according to your authorization; if you refuse the authorization, you cannot use the room reservation function, but it does not affect the use of other services provided by us.
  4. when you use the voice chat function, we will obtain the microphone function according to your authorization, which will collect your IP address, mobile device model; if you refuse the authorization, you will not be able to use the voice chat function, but it will not affect the use of other services provided by us.
  5. When you use the video chat function, we will authorize the camera function according to you, and this authorization will collect your IP address, mobile device model; if you refuse the authorization, you will not be able to use the video chat function, but will not affect the use of other services we provide.
  6. When you use the classroom recording function, we will store whiteboard doodle information and store audio and video call contents according to your authorization; if you refuse the authorization, you will not be able to use the classroom recording function, but will not affect the use of other services provided by us.
  7. When you use the classroom cloud function, we will obtain the permission to read and download folders according to your authorization, which will collect your classroom materials (including PPT, PDF, WORD, MP3, MP4, PNG, JPG, JPEG formats);if you refuse the authorization, you will not be able to use the classroom cloud function, but it will not affect the use of other services provided by us.
  8. When you use other basic functions such as classroom network detection and log function, we may also collect your machine code, voice chat log, video chat log, device model, and network type; if you refuse to open it, you cannot use the above functions, but it does not affect the use of other services provided by us.

If you no longer use the Service, we also provide cancellation of registered accounts under the conditions agreed in the Service Agreement and the relevant national laws and regulations, you can submit a cancellation request through the contact information agreed in Article 11 [How to Contact Us] of this Privacy Policy, and we will manually help you cancel your account within three days (user-directed cancellation will be supported at a later stage). When your account is cancelled or deleted, all service information and data under the Service related to the account will be deleted or anonymized, except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations.

1.2 Other situations

According to relevant laws and regulations and national standards, we may collect and use your relevant personal information without seeking your authorized consent in the following cases.

  1. Directly related to national security, national defense security and other national interests; directly related to public safety, public health, public information and other significant public interests.
  2. Directly related to crime investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments, etc.
  3. For the purpose of safeguarding your or other individuals' life, property, reputation and other significant legitimate rights and interests but for which it is difficult to obtain your consent.
  4. Where the personal information collected is disclosed by you to the public at your own discretion
  5. Where personal information is collected from information that is lawfully and publicly disclosed, such as lawful news reports, government information disclosure and other channels.
  6. Necessary for the conclusion and performance of a contract at your request.
  7. Necessary for maintaining the safe and stable operation of the products or services provided, such as detecting and disposing of malfunctions of products or services.
  8. Necessary for the conduct of legitimate news reporting.
  9. Necessary for conducting statistical or academic research in the public interest, and when it provides the results of academic research or descriptions to the public, to de-identify the personal information contained in the results.
  10. Other circumstances as stipulated by laws and regulations.

II. How we use your personal information

  1. We may use your personal information collected under Section 1 of this policy, "What Personal Information We Collect About You," for the following purposes.
    1. To fulfill an agreement with you: When you choose to accept our "Usage Agreement" and continue to use our services, an agreement is made between us. In order to fulfill this agreement and provide you with the services you have chosen, we will use your personal information as necessary.
    2. To maintain the security, quality and stable operation of our services: We will use your personal information to ensure the security and stability of our services and to provide you with a better quality of service.
    3. To comply with legal obligations: We may use your personal information in order to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
    4. To maintain legitimate interests: We may use your personal information to protect your or other individuals' life, property, or other significant legitimate rights and interests, or to protect our legitimate rights and interests.

3.1 What are cookies?

Except as described in this policy or as expressly stated when collecting your information, we will not share your information with third parties without your explicit consent. In the following cases, we may share your information with third parties.

  5. With your consent: We may describe additional ways we disclose information at the time of collection, or by obtaining your explicit consent.
  6. Third-party SDKs: To enable you to enjoy the services listed, we embed third-party SDKs, plug-ins, or similar programs provided by partners. We perform security checks on their APIs/SDKs and require them to process personal information according to strict agreements.

We will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization or individual except in the following cases.

  1. Transfer with explicit consent.
  2. During mergers, acquisitions or bankruptcy, we will require the new company or organization holding your personal information to continue to be bound by this policy, or we will require that company or organization to re-seek your authorized consent.
  3. Public disclosure of your personal information only occurs with your explicit consent or as required by law.

V. Your right to information protection

You can refuse to share certain personal information with us. In that case, we may not be able to provide some features of the Service. You can access your account settings page at any time to query, update, correct or delete your personal information or cancel your user account. If you wish to access or modify any other personal information we hold, please contact us at support@openflat.tech.

You also have the following rights: withdraw consent, access, rectify, delete, restrict automated decision-making, obtain copies, and data portability where applicable. We will respond within fifteen days after verifying your identity. We may charge a reasonable fee for repeated requests or those requiring excessive technical means.

VI. How we handle personal information of children

Our services are primarily for adults. Children should not use our services without the consent of their parents or guardians. If we collect children's personal information with parental consent, we will only use or disclose it as permitted by law, with explicit consent, or as necessary to protect the child.

VII. How we protect the security of your information

We use industry-standard physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to protect your personal information. Although we take reasonable security measures, please understand that no security system is impenetrable.

Your personal information that we collect and generate in the territory of the People's Republic of China is stored within China. If cross-border transfer is required, we will comply with applicable laws and seek your consent.
